Seyu is a real time, fan-engagement, photo sharing solution that allows right holders to collect fan data, generate revenue and instantly distribute safe, user generated content on their existing digital platforms, including giant screens, perimeter LED boards and social media.

The service allows fans around the world to take selfies, add motivating messages to them and post these photos onto the LED boards, giant screens in the stadiums and on to social media in branded frames through a moderated channel, making highly popular fan generated content safe for partners.

Sponsor.Online provided the platform for the Championship side Sheffield Wednesday and Seyu, the fast-growing sport-tech company, to engage in a mutually beneficial transaction which saw the perimeter LED boards and social media platforms livened up by Owls fans’ photos during matches against Coventry, Middlesbrough and Derby County. All three matches ended with the home team’s victories and secured a maximum nine points at Hillsborough Stadium.

In three matches, a combined 4.5 minutes of perimeter LED time expanded the reach of the commercial platform through 9,550 branded fan selfie organic social media postings, which converts to an organic reach of 83,600 users (and 283,800 sponsorship impressions). The reach equates to filling Hillsborough Stadium more than twice (39k capacity).

The partnership between Seyu and Sheffield Wednesday was sealed via the Sponsor.Online digital sponsorship marketplace, which allowed the tech company to compare more than 150 football clubs based on region, potential reach and type of inventory. Seyu’s solution not only brings fans closer to their beloved team. It also expands the clubs’ marketing portfolio with eight additional commercial platforms directly reaching fans and has a system that supports loyalty marketing campaigns to increase club and sponsor revenues. “Tapping into directly one of the huge revenue reservoirs of the international football industry, the spending power of remote markets, is an opportunity that you cannot pass by if you are either a club or sponsoring brand. This is what our solution can provide to our partners and from now on to the partners of Sponsor.Online.”- said Tom Vechy Vecsernyes, CEO and Co-founder of Seyu.

The partnership will see Sponsor.Online deploying Seyu’s real time, scalable and highly engaging service to clubs and sponsors through its online marketplace platform. This not only provides an immediate solution to the challenges facing clubs and sponsoring brands during Covid-19 restrictions, but by utilising 5G technology it also delivers a lasting, sustainable solution to partners, long after fans return to stadiums.
